Chasing the Moon

Since I live on a hill that overlooks Lake Washington I decided to chase the spectacular moon that we were graced with today.  I figured that my new camera could definitely tackle the quest better than my old standard point and shoot digital . . . there were a few flaws to this plan.  They include:

1.  Lack of a tripod/my apparent Katherine Hepburn impression while on full zoom.

2.  TREEEEEEEEES!  I do live in the PNW, after all, who am I kidding?

3.  Me darting out of the house and into the car without even thinking about what I was wearing, which happened to be all black, so I was afraid to jump into the road to get a picture and get hit by some teenage drunk driver going way over the speed limit!

Anyway, here are some of my results, cropped a little, so they are a bit grainy.  But they are WAY better than anything my old camera could have taken.

FYI, birthday presents can include a bigger zoom lens and a tripod, thanks birthday fairies!

About pageturnershollow

My life is in constant motion and sometimes I just need to take a moment to breathe. I have learned to laugh at the hardest parts or my life and move on with optimism. Most days around here end with laughter.
